Your wish is granted, but Turin is still cursed and ends up killing Cirdan, who never gets to give his ring to Gandalf, and so Gandalf is weaker in the Third Age, and can't make fire to escape from the wolves in The Hobbit, and so Bilbo is eaten with the ring, which makes the wolf invisible and causes the destruction of the West, due to the ring not being destroyed.

Granted. But then they cause so much trouble (mainly because they themselves keep arguing and ending up with duels that destroy the house where they live). During the Council of Elrond, they get stuck in an argument and destroy the long table, much to Elrond's annoyance. But unfortunately, the Silmarils were fought over more. This meant that seven eights of the population of Beleriand were wiped out, including Galadriel and Celeborn. Which means, that the Fellowship were captured after they left Moria because there wasn't a Lothlorien to go into, Sauron gets the Ring, and the entire obliteration of Arda. Good going.

After hearing this unusually altruistic request, Shelob decides to give it a go and fulfils Frodo's quest. Unfortunately, the Eagles had a very hard time carrying her out of Mordor - they dropped her several times - and everybody threw rocks at her when she came to Gondor. Infuriated, our heroine scuttled back to her lair, from which she launched her reign of terror that destroyed most of the west of Middle Earth.

I wish that Treebeard had joined the fellowship in Rivendell.
