Theoden is descended from the line of Princes in Dol Amroth so he tecnically does have immortal ancestors. His mother Morwen was actually a Dúnadan. Even his niece Éowyn took after his mother Morwen. Theoden's own son and nephew were both taller than other Rohirrim.
