Yes, I also have always found Gurthang a fascinating sword, for the same reasons said above.

I also really love Sting. It's a small, but beautiful sword and has its own special role in both The Hobbit and LOTR. My sister was kind enough to buy me the replica (apparently she got off ebay for a real cheap price). Unfortunately, the stupid shipping people did not take good care of the sword and it came to me with the frame scratched (the box, which said "FRAGILE" was dented and had a hole in it)
