You knew this was coming. Attack of the stats.
Saruman: IIIII III
Sauron: IIIII II Shelob: IIII Gollum: I With Saruman and Sauron being nearly tied for a commanding lead, the Downs would appear to be inhabited by a number of evil Maia wanna-bes. ![]() I wonder what this tells us about Werewolf.

Sauron
You are irredeemably bad. The whole world exists solely for your benefit even if the rest of us don’t know that yet. Fortunately, you are hatching your master plan for world domination so that you can make sure things are run the way they should be – which means the way you want them to be. You don’t have any friends, but that’s OK with you because you prefer whimpering slaves. The whole world exists solely for your benefit even if the rest of us don’t know that yet. I must say this sounds quite a bit like phantom.

I dunno, TORE, I thought Saruman was a pretty good fit.
![]() Sure, you may look like a companionable sort – what with your love of creature comforts and apparently winning ways – but when it gets right down to it you are only ever looking out for number one. You don’t have any friends because nobody is good enough or smart enough to deserve your friendship. For me, the operative phrase in the Sauron description was you prefer whimpering slaves.

Cool, I'm Shelob (though I did have pretensions to being Saruman). Spawn of the void............

I do wonder if I would have got a different result had there been more likely holiday plans? I did spend my most recent time off at home on domestic tasks and hobbies but it isn't what I'd call a holiday. No option involving travel, guidebooks, backpacking and disappearing into the wild blue yonder for months at a time. Getting into a mild blue Honda to reach a friend's house ain't quite the same.

I am Sauron...I don't know why, I don't want world domination...yet!
Are there only the four choices then?

Sauron. Now I'll start getting ideas... I don't think anybody'll be too pleased if I built a giant tower in the garden, although it beats the usual neighborly disputes over a few hedges.
As for the Harry Potter test... Luna, naturally.

Oh, all right, all right! I have been inundated (well, more than 2
) with PMs about Lobelia. What, Downers want to know, what about her conversion to the right side? All well and good I say, and the more's the chance to explore her character to understand that in an rpg. But all in all, given all the hobbity, Shire-like questions Mr. Fordim asks here, I think some sort of domestic/ parishy kind of villain would provide a surprising turn of events in the face of the overwhelmingly dastardly types which Mr. Hedgethistle has prepared us for here. I mean, do all of us secretly harbour thoughts of what it might be like to be villanous? and what fun to find ourselves only half rewarded!

There are a lot of villains not represented in the quiz. Wormtongue, Bill Ferny, Ted Sandyman, the Squint-Eyed Southerner, Grisznakh, Shagrat, Durin's Bane, Glaurung, Smaug etc etc. I guess the Professor was focussing on the main ones.
I'm with the Sauronic majority. Can't for the life of me work out why.

The test said I have no personality, not the faintest idea of friendship, and that I like to see weaker ones whimper in terror before me. None of these but the last one are true.
I liked that test though. I turned out to be Shelob. How ironic. I have arachnophobia.

Although I'll admit to going back and taking the quiz over to see if I could get different results, so not all of the official results may reflect accurate results. Until I realized I could just click on the correct answers link to see which answers give which results.
