Yes I love gollum. I like him because he's funny. I also like him a lot because he has sort of a split personality. ON one side you have the ring greatly influencing his mind. On the other, there is the gollum that is still gollum, or smeagol I sould say. And he went through a great change. His name signifies this change and shows him as two different characters; before the ring, it was Smeagol, and after, it was gollum. But the main reason I like gollum is because I pity him, feel sorry for him, and have sympathy for him. I wish he lived in a way and I wished that he had been free of the ring. Sometimes I pity him so much, I think his death put him out of his misery. And I really do think that gollum could have changed and I think that he didn't because of Sam, Baran I think would agree. I don't want to get into too much detail so I'll end it here.
