They work out. They pump iron. They stick to their diets. They remember to participate in Master Elrond's annual triathlon which involves crossing the Bruinen and jogging through the Trollshaws very fast to avoid the troll-hordes which gather every year to hinder the progress of elven triathletes with heavy stone clubs.
Question: Gandalf escaped from Orthanc by sprouting giant eagle-wings and soaring away. Why doesn't he just transform when he falls from the Bridge of Khazad-Dum?
