Ok, I'm still confused [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img] But:

The stones held the light of the trees and some of them became stars in the sky.

The stars were made from vats of Telperion, the original White tree and became er, stars in the sky.

The Scion of Nimloth, was also descended from Telperion, but did not become a star.

Earendil's ship (and Earendil wearing a silmaril) became a star in the sky.

So....the Scion is the odd one out as it did not become a star....or...
Earendil's ship is the odd one out as it was not connected to Telperion?
