Damn, I didn't think of that either. No, but I hope someone gets it sooner or later. It's something you might "hear" about but not think of at first.

Well, Ugluk was a Urûk-Hai, which is a crossbread. The others were full-blood of whatever race they belonged to.

actually that's a stupid answer, now that I think about it... isn't Elrond a couple of thousands of years old?! Okay, Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) is the only one not wearing a wig. [ October 01, 2002: Message edited by: hobbitlass ]

Blast! I pondered that, but for some reason, Beren's incident did not occur to me, so I ruled it out.

Well, after went to Aman to plead for help against Morgoth, he changed into a bird so he could get back to Beleriand. After that, he set sail into the sky, becoming a Star, so he could keep Beren and Luthien's Silmaril out of Morgoth's clutches. edit: All right, I was wrong about him turning into a bird, that was Elwing. But he did become a Star in order to protect the Silmaril. How about, Earendil was the only one given a choice of Doom? [ October 06, 2002: Message edited by: Susan Delgado ]

no and no - And Earendil didnt 'become a star - He sails the heavens in his ship Vingilot still wearing the Silmaril on his brow and as a lil help the Silmaril has nothing to do with the answer... Here is a little hint: All og them, but one, has something special about him.
