Minas Ithil, or the "Tower of the Rising Moon," the companion tower to Minas Tirith's "Tower of the Setting Sun" when Isildur and Anárion shared the realms of Gondor.
Originally built upon a shoulder of the Mountains of Shadow as a threat to Mordor, Minas Ithil later became infamously known as Minas Morgul.
