You couldn't think of a nicer gift-giver than Annatar? Couldn't I have been Celeborn the magnanimous? Noooo! Annatar it is.
We all know that somebody got impaled on a spike in New Zealand and the presumptive favorite is that it's Saruman impaled on some bit of his devlish machinery. Leaving aside the question of PJ's liberties, who do we know was done in by Saruman's "precious machinery"?
