Hello all. I've been waiting for like a week to chime in on this thread. With apologies to the moderator (hopefully this isn't too large of a breach of etiquette), I'd like to start a new question:

According to the Silmarillion (just so there is no confusion), who is Elrond's oldest living ascendent, and how many generations is he seperated from that person?

Bonus - Of all the people Elrond is descended from who is mentioned in the Silmarillion, which is the one he is seperated from by the most generations and how many?
