I would think the only solution is greater voluntary participation.

It appears, though, that many long-time members have taken a leave of absence, and more recent members are not especially active in the games areas.

Perhaps a positive effect of the Amazon series will emulate PJ's LOTR and inspire an influx of new membership.

You mean like the Hobbit movies were supposed to salvage all the old sites that cropped up around the turn of the century? One good thing I have noted on Tolkien Forums is there are younger folk joining who have read the books and not watched the PJ movies! This is an awesome thing!
