Interesting! The point that really jumped out at me was that early line about not having a decent sleep since Dunharrow. Which has the ring of absolute truth, and really settles the narrative into the reality of Middle-earth.

The depiction of the battle's aftermath also strikes a chord. I wonder whether Snowdog had been reading about WWI? There's something about this which really evokes the trenches of northern France. Very appropriate, given Tolkien's experiences there.

(I do feel like Snowdog missed an opportunity to say 'Swords rang, bowstrings sang', though; I may have spent too much time on lyrics recently. ^_^)
