Urwen did a lot of the work towards the solving, though. (I thought at first it was the troll's purse too).

I am knackered, but have done my best, (my 'knackered' best, anyway):

Dripping blood, maybe
In inertia, but not silent.
Sentinels, possibly
Of a place both foul and violent.
