Posts: 2</TD><TD></TD></TR></TABLE> Re: THE BOOKS AND ARE THEY COMPLICATED Greetings venomous2000, Yes "The Hobbit" Although not a part of the Trilogy, is nevertheless the first book in Tolkien's adventure, "The Lord of the Rings" I have not seen the comic version of "The Hobbit" so I am afraid I cannot help you there. They are not that difficult. I first read the books when I was 12, and fell in love with them.I read them to my daughter when she was 5 twice and by the third time she was reading them all by herself.By the time she reached the 5th grade she had a college reading level! "The Silmarillian" is a bit tougher, but once you get used to the writing style, it is very good. It reads more like a history book. I hope you enjoy reading them.
