You can have three players from a team, but once the semifinals arrive you can have four.

You are allowed four trades before the quarters, four trades before the semis, then three trades ahead of the finals.

If your captain is eliminated and you don't assign a new one, the lowest active player on your roster becomes your default captain. If you miss making both trades and predictions in a round you are allowed an extra trade the following round.

This is purely a hypothetical question, and I don't plan on pulling this stunt anytime soon (because, for one thing, I don't think the extra trade can offset the lack of prediction points), but . . . can you miss the trade deadline on purpose and get that extra trade?

I suppose if someone believes one extra trade is worth zero activity the previous round they can try it. But like I said, they're only allowed the extra trade if they make no trades and make no predictions the previous round, so they'd automatically be giving up a chance at 8 points in predictions, so to break even they'd have to be confident they would make those points up with their extra trade (plus any points they might lose not being able to switch their captaincy or swapping out an optimal player etc.).
