I haven't bought anything new, but when clearing out a closet, I came upon the 1974 Tolkien calender (given to me by my brother in 2001, after I'd become a Tolkien fan) and found I can reuse it again now, since the weekdays are matching this year! (I've done this before)

I'd forgotten about this thread, but I guess I will express my happiness about acquiring some first editions of The Lord of the Rings.
Fellowship is a 14th Impression Two Towers is a 10th Impression Return is also a 10th Impression I'm more than happy with these. It's been a kind of secret desire of mine to get hold of them for, you know, ten years. I've seen some on sale at conventions like Oxonmoot and they're usually in the multiple hundreds of pounds price tag range. But thanks to davem for pointing me at these recently.
