How do you imagine other BDers

The thing about me imagining BDers is that I know how way too many of you look.

Usually, though, I imagine (or at least associate) Downers with their avvies.

There are those that I've seen photos of, but I still picture them differently (bad habbit!). For example, I just can't see Nerwen without the fair hair of her Galadriel avatar. Lalwende is a cross between Bilbo and Irish (take what you will of it). Others I picture as they are in photos, but still that avvie association lingers there. For example, I always associate Pitch and Zil with blackand white, and Agan with orange/yellow.

There are some that I don't know how they look at all. Mith and Lalaith look exactly like their avvies. Eonwe, despite his description of himself earlier in the thread, is pretty pale, possibly with glasses (but not always), pretty tall, thin, and either has a mop of very fair surly hair or very dark slick hair. I still can't decide on the hair - one day I imagine it one way, and another day it's the other...

We do, we do... save that at this end of summer I am closer to blonde...

This thread was so much fun before the Facebook group. It almost fell into obscurity. Despite the fact that not only have I seen pictures, but actually met Lal in person, on the Barrow-Downs she will always be that picture of Bilbo. It's funny, for some Downers, the people they are on Facebook are different to me than their personas here, and for others, the FB person and Downer are the same.

The only two BDers (besides my sis, she doesn't count) that I can sort of picture are:

G55: I picture her, tallish, slim with a fairly-sized chest and hips, long wavy blonde hair, and confident but humble.

Oddwen: Percy Weasley with Bill Weasley's personality.

Hmm, very interesting... I think the real Galadriel's image has a lot of influence here. Tallish? Hm, average, I'd say. Slim? Not chubby, but can't say I'm slim either. Long wavy blonde hair? It's wavy, but neither blonde not long... Confident and humble? Neither nor.

Just wait until you start reading more into the history of Downer moots - you'll find a ton of pictures of all sorts of Downers...


One person I forgot to mention is the Barrow Wight Himself. I see Mr. BWH as a person taller than average, very dark hair, and greyish-blueish eyes. Straight nose. He usually has a serious expression on his face.

Hmmm.... You're pretty, G55. Your hair is a little like my sister's, (but slightly tamer. ) Bit blurry, but nice nonetheless.

I don't really have any pictures of myself to post, just this group picture from my boyfriend's facebook.



The one in the hat is my friend Nikki, to the right of her is my boyfriend Andrew, then it's me (cut off somewhat) and after me it's Nikki's little sister Annie.

My hair is up in a headband and I look like hell, but I'm not very photogenic anyway.

I literally JUST figured out that you can't see the licture in the link without being FB friends with Andrew. Sorry! If I get a different pic, I'll put it up.

Can I join the black and white club now plz? Orange and yellow are absolutely my least favourite colours (except they look good on lions).

It's just that your avvie was an orange-y lion for a long time, then a yellow lion. And, as you say, your hair is blonde. And now even though you've had the black and white avvie for a while, I still can't erase the yellow/orange impression.

Kinda hard not to know what you look like after all the (relatively) recent moots and photos that come with them , but I haven't seen this one before. I don't know if I should laugh or cry at the fact that you are more dwarvish here than all of PJ's dwarves put together.
