I do think Saeryn is a strong-willed persona who can do a lot, but she will not be cabable of eating Athanar - he's too old and experienced to be bullied that way... Actually if Saeryn gets mad he would just order her to go to her room - and then report to Eodwine...

Don't forget that Athanar has seen the world and is not starter to life's little wonders like pregnancies and what they can do to people. He will, if pressed to the edge, treat Saeryn like a child, but hopefully that is not required.
