Object - no Sentient - in a way/you could say so Undead - no Silent Watchers - no Natural - as in, not crafted? As much as I'm tempted to confuse you all, I won't. "It" is natural. Connected to Elves - yes, very!! Present during the first age - yes Present in more than one age - yes Straight Road - no, it's much more "alive" Present in both Valinor and ME? - After and before certain points in history, yes. Place - no, it's not The desire of some elves for a realm/land of their own independent of the Valar? - no. THIS IS NOT A CRAZY CONCEPT. It works just like a forest does. You can touch/see/feel individual trees. They are there. But "forest" is a made-up word (almost a concept!) that is used to group all the trees that stand in a bunch. Now there could be other made up words grouping other things, can't there?
