Going with Phervasaion on this one, Eruwen & Co.

I haven't been around the Forums enough to say anything about it, but I can add in my ten cents for the chat room.

Good as it is, the place is- for the most par- run over with teenyboppers and Mary-Sues who only want to talk about the movies and the actors. What was once a respectable Tolkienist haven is now...not. The fact is a bit discouraging. The users who want some in-depth Tolkien leave because they can't stand the newers chatters, and the newer ones don't stay long because they cannot tolerate the "stiffness" of the older users. Tad vicious.

Just stick to what you love. If that changes, so be it.
