As melcor said, it's impossible to compare such impossibly different characters <img src=wink.gif ALT="">

Strider was always a favourite, Aldaron, a very true point. Aragorn was a wonderfully crafted character, and no less a character was Gandalf, hence the confliction many people have when trying to decide which is 'better' or more 'likeable.'

Clearly, the answer lies in Smeagol <img src=biggrin.gif ALT="">
