Here's one-what does the Gridle of Milan, poems, and being close have anything to do with one another? No, really...

*sighs* Is it truly like a poem? Is there words in it?
Was it said in LotR?

Yes, it is truly like a poem, and perhaps it is a poem, but no one knows for sure.
Yes it is made with words.
It wasn't specifically said by anyone in LOTR, however, the likes of it were.
The Girdle of Melian was closest before Pitch guessed that it's made with words.

Now it's replaced by poem.

Hm, the purpose of Melian's Girdle (as well as the Doors of Night, which you said was also a good guess) was to keep enemies (or The Enemy) out, so maybe a password?

Girdle of Melian and Doors of Night were in the right direction because of the "thinking process", not the actual answer.
