I think I would choose a light, medium length, double-edged sword. That way, you can be twice as effective. I like archery too, and can actually shoot with pretty good form. Only one small problem, though. I can't aim worth anything! I guess practice makes perfect, though. Those elves have had several ages to perfect their craft. Just don't give me an axe. I can't stand axes!
