It's funny how governments want to demonise tobacco, but alcohol is much more of a danger to society as a whole than cigarettes. When was the last time someone smashed up a car because they were under the influence of a cigarette? Are they going to remove the references in The Hobbit to the Dwarves drinking beer at Bag End?

Cigarettes and beer? What about a dwarf burying an axe in an Orcs head? What about Beorn the bear ripping off arms and legs? Decapitations, disembowelments, limb shivering, bone crushing, trepanning.

Oh, that's right. Adolescents don't become over-aggressive by being exposed to violent imagery, but they immediately start smoking as soon as a cig is lit.
