As has been said before: one man's treasure is another man's trash.

I agree with those who have said this before, that you can't force someone to do/appreciate things. The most you can do is accept him the way he is, and the fact that he won't like LOTR. No two people are alike- hence, we will always disagree with somebody, but then, we'll always agree with somebody, too.

But remember: Whether he likes LOTR or not is one of the least important qualities of being your friend. There are other things that are ten times more important- don't worry too much about this, though not liking LOTR is a serious fault! [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] (JK, of course!!)
