Possibly, yes - and that could also explain the communication problems between him (her? it?) and Shcmurt.

(Speaking of 'proper fungoltchish': unfortunately, I haven't yet found out how to properly enter/copy all those diacritics/special phonetic? signs into the Translator, which is probably why half of the dialogue went through untranslated... but maybe further speculations on this matter are better postponed till the weekend...)
