I find in every conversation I have with anyone I somehow get to a point where I can say "When I was in Boston blah blah blah", or I say stuff like "I know someone who blah blah blah" or "a friend of mine blah blah blah" and it's always me bragging about one of you guys cause your all so cool, and therefore make me sound cool for having cool friends.

I'm with Mnemo here--the strange looks started long before I left, when I told people I was going away during the Christmas holidays to meet people from the Internet.

Haha, actually yesterday I was talking with a girl I work with, who I don't know all that well, at our staff party and she had seen the word Bostonmoot somewhere on my Facebook page (not surprising) and she wanted to know where it came from. So I was like, well we're all kinda LOTR geeks, and before I even went further she was like "Ohmigosh, me too, that is sooo awesome, I totally get it now, that's wonderful", so I took it a step further and said I actually met all of you on a LOTR site, and she thought it was marvelous. Made me very happy, and so you're all I talked about for most of the dinner, and she was totally into it. I may have a new BD recruit in the making.

I just realised. . . We never made Jello!

This makes me feel sad.
