Yes it is still Spring ... there was a small time distortion but only a few days have passed since the thread began!!

Mithalwen has been away from Mithlond only as long as it takes to get there by pony & trap. She came to meet the twins who travelled as far as the Shire from rivendell with pilgrims to the palantir plus a couple of days. So she probably left a couple of weeks ago at most.

Now Mithalwen is a craftswoman - specialist in musical instruments but since that would have small demand relatively I have imagined a lot of her "bread and butter" work is in more practical day to day items in wood and metal. To add leather too it might stretch her skills but I bet she would have made the buckles and would surely know the leather worker since Mithlond would have been a tiny community at that time. They might even be the type of thing she would use her self though more for support and protection when using tools. Mithalwen had a clearout to make room in her house for her expected visitors (the waggon is full of stuff that she was going to try and sell) so there might have been ample opportunity for an enterprising chap to help himself to anything of interest just lying around . Yes ... I think there will be some recognition. Excellent....

Just to let everyone know - everyone is invited to post in the inns/meadhall in the Shire, Rohan, and Gondor.

Just make sure your character and writing are up to the standards set in each ongoing storyline there.

Sorry to rush things so much, but I'm officially back in school as of tomorrow, and I wanted to get at least a good substantial post in before getting back to the grindstone. I'll still be around, but the length of posts will probably suffer.

Amadi probably left Mithlond sometime in the past couple of weeks, either shortly before or after your char. left, depending on how you write it. Since he was on foot and not really in a hurry, I think that would put him in about the right place.

Okay, this post brings out an aspect of Idhy that I have kept mostly in the background so far, just mentioning in her sister's-gone angst. She's a little bit evil in a fun kind of way.

This, however, gives Amadi a bit more of an opening into the group - Idhy wants him there for the entertainment value.

Oooh...excellent... now how do you want to play it? if I as Mithalwen am not meant to have noticed .. I will post as Carantilion and have M as rummaging in her bag or something since she is facing into the room... maybe she will just get a glimpse of his departing back.... and see something familiar....

Wouldn't she notice when they got the food? It is a natural instinct is to look up when someone approaches.

Ghanberryghan, I'm glad you posted on the Goldern Perch. It's been a long time since anyone has touched that thread.

I wanted you to know that I saw your post and will hopefully post something sometime soon so you can have something to post with. In the mean time, would you care to create a character biography for your character? Just copy and patse this form below and fill stuff in so we now what sort of fellow your character is.

NAME:

AGE:

RACE: (Only those character types listed by the Innkeeper will be acceptable: Hobbits, Men, Elves, or Dwarves. NO Orcs; Easterlings, Southrons, and any other men of an evil race; NO Animals - as main characters; or Any other creature or persons not mentioned in 'Types of characters allowed' No half-Elven characters. No mixed-type characters. No super-heroes. No assassins. No one all powerful, martial arts proficient, or having any magical traits. Just regular characters with normal abilities for their races only)

GENDER:

WEAPONS: (No magical, super-hero, mithril weapons. Just good solid Middle-earth weapons and armor only that is appropriate to the race of the character and the time period. Hobbits, for example, do not have swords or armor)

There, I posted. I'm afraid I gave you a pretty clean slate to work with, Ghan. The place is pretty much empty.

Mithalwen, are you going join us, too? I don't know what we can have happen, but we can conjur something up, I imagine.

The inn personal include Prim, Rowan, and Will, as well as Dick. Will's the stable and grounds keeper, Prim and Rowan the two who keep the inn clean and apparently cook all the meals now, and Dick is the innkeeper himself.
