(Start shameless plug) Well, if you like Silmarillion-based material, you might like my stories. (End of shameless plug) Other good sites (besides the Downs) to find Tolkien fanfiction include fanfiction.net (although there's a lot of really bad material posted here), Nindaiwe, and The Henneth Annun Story Archive - the latter gets my vote for the best Tolkien story archive on the Web at the moment.
