One almost wants to like Haldir better simply because of the way he was abused in the movie TTT but I do like him best both in the books and the movies, although I agree with all those who said he was a mite chubby.
Edit: Upon re-reading this post I realized it was a truly amazing run-on sentence. Sorry!
