This is a tough one. I wouldn't like to get rid of any, really, but I guess if I had to pick one I'd pick either Merry or Pippin.

Don't get me wrong -- Those two hobbits are great and whimsical, two of my favorite characters. They just aren't as necessary to the story as the other Fellowship members,
