I'd have to check. but I don't think Mith ever actually claimed to be the Apprentice. People just inferred from what she said and drew the conclusion?

She said the ducks attacked her, I believe. Or that we didn't know they didn't. Just as good as saying she's the Phantom's Apprentice, since we know they attacked xem.

Actually, I'm wondering if perhaps the phantom's apprentice really is him. Simply because he and wilwa were the only ones mentioned in that narration and it could be a hint.
