I am not sure what you mean by toothy really, but I have the feeling that you use toothy somewhat figuratively and that you then mean something bad or evil... maybe a wrong interpretation, but just a thought so far.

In that case I'll take Hurin as giver of the Nauglamir which caused the downfall of Doriath eventually.
