I also like the idea of Gwen Stefani as Idril which someone had. It does seem fitting somehow.

To get back to casting-Angelina Jolie as Luthien would be a mistake of Oliver Stone-esque proportions. She has sex appeal without being beautiful, the utter opposite of Luthien.

Luthien doesn't have sex appeal?? C'mon, she's so fit she could do a Mata Hari on Morgoth himself! I agree that Angie Jolie would be a huge mistake though. Luthien should be a natural beauty.
