Why didn't the Valar do anything to help good on Middle-Earth? Were they still annoyed at Feanor for that hopeless war on Morgoth? If even one of the Valar were to travel to Middle-Earth Sauron would be basically blasted into oblivion
![]() Maybe they couldn't do anything to help anymore because of the removal of Valinor from Arda, or maybe they were just lazy ![]() <sigh> Last edited by The Sixth Wizard; 04-18-2006 at 04:48 AM. Reason: Past Tenses Confused |

They see in the "rebellion" of the Noldor against their absurdly restrictive treatment an excuse to leave Men and Elves to suffer while muttering platitudes about Eru's plan, sending irritating dreams and laying unfair Dooms.
An unpleasant, sanctimonious lot.

umm the Valar ARE lazy. They do not want to get their hands dirty with a little bit of healthy WAR. That's probably why they sent Olorin and the rest...so they could sleep or watch this little crisis like a movie... Thje valar just suck everybody should join Morgoth and take over the world.

Maybe Manwe wouldn't let them. After all, I think Ulmo was breaking...er.. bending...er..nt traditionallly following the rules when he helped Tuor and his descendants (and then Manwe probably gave him a good talkling to when they tried to reach Valinor).
