Welcome, Ibrīnišilpathānezel! Enjoy being dead.
![]() Do you... umm... have some kind of shortening for your name? Like Ibry? Or Nezel? Or something totally different?

Welcome here, Ibrīnišilpathānezel! Feel welcome here and hope to see your contributions to this forum, I'm sure you'll find it most interesting around here...
...and I must join the ranks of the people stunned by your name. Don't expect anyone's going to call you that For shortening, I'd suggest Ibrin (though on first sight, my original idea was something like "dilophosaurus" ).

Welcome Ibrina! We'll decide on the right shortening eventually if you stay around long enough. And here's hoping you do!

Well, I never expected anyone, even myself, to use a name that unwieldy!
It just seems that, long though I have loved Tolkien's works, every time I try to join a discussion group -- even when it's just forming -- someone's always beaten me to the punch for names I would like that came from Tolkien's world. I think Ibrin is the most natural shortening of it -- although if one cares to get into Tolkienian semantics, "ibri" (V. "silver") would be the root of that part of the name. But having grown up in a large family, I sometimes answer to "hey, you" too .Thank you all for the warm welcome. |

Welcome to the forum, Ibrīnišilpathānezel . I must say that your name is probably the hardest thing I've ever tried to pronounce.
