Some suspect it has something to do with Mr Pritchard's previous convictions for arson... But that can't be the case... Nothing has been proved!

Or its just too obvious that it'll waste good gossip colomn space in The Downer, or the front page...
Until then, he'll just have to keep randomly preparing explosive runes and what have you, for our entertainment.
If he was noticibly caught, we wouldn't have any more great explosions, etc, and thus the very existance of our humor might come into danger. I as one, am not willing to give that up.
