I just joined as well. I'm a pretty huge lotr fan and I've looked at this site for a while but I just joined the forum. I go under the name Orophin and for those of you who do not know who he is he is haldir's brother and the only time you see him in the books is in the trees of Lothlorien when the fellowship first enter the forest. I belive that he says only one word, in the book but that does not mean that he is not awsome. I am a senior in high school and I too am going to college next year.

hi im new as well. Im quite a big tolkien fan and have read the lord of the rings, the hobbit and the silmariliion. I've choose the name samwise because he's my favourite character and probably the biggest hero of all.

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Marared and I've been reading Tolkien every year since 1987. I was a fan after the first time I read LOTR, now I'm a bigger fan since the movies were released. Recently, I've discovered there are not many people in my day to day life that share my passion for middle earth. I'm glad I found you guys.

Hello, im stilling being here(well from time to time anyway ). Its Been awhile, since I last read all the books, so the memory is a little fuzzy(buzy with new books ).

Hey guys! I'm new here(hence why I'm posting in this thread). I LOVE LOTR's. I've read the trilogy about 7 or 8 times and the hobbit twice. I tried to read the Sil.... but I fell asleep. Way too much like a history book for me.

But anyways, I've been going to barrowdowns for a while for the name generator and such. But today I found out about this forum from Eowyn Skywalker who had recently joined a Star Wars RPG I'm a part of. So here I am!

I just got started on this web-site for the fact that a friend of mine told me how much fun it was. My username is ninlaith because a long time before I knew about the discussion forum I found out what my name meant in Elvish so there you go.

I just graduated highschool and will be persuing a theater major when I attend college. My passions are LOTR of course, acting, singing, musicals, and movie going. Just a warning I get very passionate about the books and movies and have spasms of the mouth and can't keep it shut, so if I offend anyone, which I will desperately try not to, i sorry in advance. Anyway, you know of the dreaded Mary-sue, right? The 'perfect' girl who comes into a story and makes all the canon characters fall in love with her.

'Oh, Legolas,' Princess SugarPlumFairy of Random Flying Forest sighed. 'Willest thou lovest me forever?'

You know the type. They're horrible and will send canon characters out of character too.

Legolas smiled bashfully. 'Foreverest my love. I willest lovest thou forever.'

Occassionally they use bad english like the bits above.

The PPC hunts them down, kills them and restores the plot. PPC stands for Protectors of the Plot Continuum. Several other departments deal with different offenses, bad geography, acts of violence, and my department deals with Silmarillion canon violations.

Well hello all.

I'm Ohtariel. I'm currently in the market for a new place to RP and new people to RP with, so hopefully I won't have to look any further. It has been a long search. One I would be glad to end.

I'm 20 years old now, but have been rpg since I was 12 or 13... can't remember now. I'd like to think my writing has improved since then, but I'm never quite satisfied with my posts so I'll let you guys be the judge of that. Not that you have any of my writing from when I first started... thank good ness. No comparisons!

And thats enough of that.

Your RPG rules look rather complex but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. Just gotta sit down with some coffee. Anywho! Looking forward to meeting you all.

RPG is a bit quiet at the moment (must knuckle down to a post today) but I for one would love it to be more lively. Usually you start at the Golden Perch ... but that was stymied by an anachronistic post.. maybe if there are a few people interested we could ask for an advancement in time to give a break from the old plot lines and make a fairly fresh start? Otherwise you could go to the Meadhall but I don't know what is going on there ..

Well it’s been 2 years since my last post; I have been lurking but just have not had much time to contribute. I hope to rectify that with my renewed love of all things Tolkien.

I have just started to reread the Sil < my E-mail account got a message from the sil project dating back to 2008…and it made me want to reread the series.
