Then look at it first. But I want a good tip why, you know, the destination must have something special about it, so you'd have to pick the city with the really most, most, most attractive (for ME tourists) things in it, whatever it might be. Big city is nice as well, but it doesn't mean people would find it attractive. I suggest you try to imagine a slogan in the agency's catalogue. "Visit big city!" is certainly nothing much. If you live in Minas Tirith for example, you are in a big city as well.

Well, is it Calembel?
"Visit the chief town of Lamedon... close by the famous green fields of Lebennin... watch the sun set blood-red behind the Pinnath Gelin..." Something like that? |

No, it is not Calembel... there is one location that really, ultimately beats the others in the eyes of an early-3rd-age Middle-Earthian...
You only have to figure out why it is (and of course which one it is) And it is more than just blood-red sunset and beautiful fields with streams...

In that case is it Umbar? It had that monument to the defeat of Sauron.
It would have to be in the late first millenium, though. Last edited by Nerwen; 12-15-2007 at 09:17 AM. Reason: Adding a comment |

Indeed, it's Umbar. I was really wondering if no one knows about the monument.
I couldn't have written, of course, "since year XY" because then it would've been obvious. Nevertheless, as long as Umbar was free, it was in my opinion obviously a destination every citizen of Arnor and Gondor must have dreamt of visiting. You may continue this thread, Nerwen.

I'd have guessed Umbar first, only I wasn't sure about the dates.
