Alright, O Wise Firthhyando...
![]() What about this, a little non-typical: If you were an owner of a tourism agency in the first millenium of the Third Age, what of the following cities would be surely the best choice to present in your catalogue, and why? Choices: Bree, Calembel, Edoras, Tharbad, Umbar. Once again: I want reasons as well.

Well Edoras was fairly New at the beginning of the Third Age... and it also has the Golden Hall recently made so that would defiantely bring tourism up

No, not Edoras. You caught into the trap, Gil, because Edoras didn't yet stand at the first millenium of Third Age. And the Golden Hall was finished by Eorl's son Brego in 2569.

Then look at it first. But I want a good tip why, you know, the destination must have something special about it, so you'd have to pick the city with the really most, most, most attractive (for ME tourists) things in it, whatever it might be. Big city is nice as well, but it doesn't mean people would find it attractive. I suggest you try to imagine a slogan in the agency's catalogue. "Visit big city!" is certainly nothing much. If you live in Minas Tirith for example, you are in a big city as well.

Well, is it Calembel?
"Visit the chief town of Lamedon... close by the famous green fields of Lebennin... watch the sun set blood-red behind the Pinnath Gelin..." Something like that? |
