Anyways I must say something about this whole "shade" thing. For the first time I decided not to care wither I got lynched or not and just have fun. A result of this decition was that I played in charachter first day. . .I had no idea that there was a charachter called the shade! I remembered the charachter, but I had forgot the name, it was by chance that I used the word "shade". At first I found it all very amusing, but the day we killed Legate it was getting annoying listening to Nogrod (no offence), luckely my vote made me look innocent. |

Innocent again!
I randomly searched 'werewolf strategies' and came up with this, which is quite good. I particularly emphasise rule 2, don't post too much. Personally it gets me off the track of the other posts I have read, and often doesn't get me convinced. A quick game's a good game, my teachers always say. I think it's really a shame that the Shade Kit had to reveal. It must have shortened the game a mite, though Legate was going to be lynched anyway. (?) Sorry I wasn't very active during this game, but the deadline was quite a problem for me. I always seemed to be on the computer when nobody else is. Sometimes I would wait four hours and only a few people had posted. I also had a problem with not being around right at the deadline. Bummer. Good game everyone! |

![]() I personally think that the Vampires were overpowered, they only got 9/20 killed before they met their doom. Hard to say, it might be even harder for the Vampires with fewer players... Have to go... |

Fascinating, Diamond. I had no idea. I'm sure that's not the first time you've protected me when I was evil.
I considered the possibility that the Ranger would leave Rikae, but thought it would be too risky. If it all went wrong, the village would really hate you. At the end, I sort of thought Rikae was lying about being the seer. No real basis for this; the game just got very confusing and I ended up being sceptical about every little thing! That's what fear and paranoia do.

What about the riddles? I didn't understand mine. Maybe you should post them all, Volo, and have some sort of spin-off competition?

This was one of the funniest games I've ever played in! So thanks to fellow villagers and to the mods.
(Even though I would have loved to see Day5: everybody accusing Mac of cobblerism, him denying it, me trying to assure everybody that we should not worry about a revealed cobbler but to lynch the last wolf and someone throwing in the theory of Rikae being a false seer... )I see you were innocent, Saucer. (<- that's the closest to apology you'll hear... )Quote:

Riddles, huh?
The hardest part of the game for me, was nearly impossible to come up with anything on some members. Well, they're really hard, because otherwise there would have been 0% use out of them. Most of them have something from my perspective, so it might have caused even more confusion. 1 Gil-Galad ”By this text I honor this person, for this person was the first to do like I do now. The person might slither up to you and sting, but personally doubt it.” Refering to "Which Downer Am I?” thread. His zodiacs are snake and scorpio. 2 Rune Son of Bjarne ”Not everybody has had the luxury to be to the west of the Fires of Hell. This one is lucky, also to have been my on way.” Refering to the picture in the Downer, here and Volosvej 3 Boromir88 "This Spartan inhabitant demands you finish first, and in honor of this person something great begins." Birthday 25th of April, game started on that day. Laconia was occupied by the Spartans. "Demands you finish first" refers to sig. 4 Nogrod ”There might still be oil in this one’s mouth. A merry man stole this person’s knife. And this person must be trying to sell something, though I don’t know what.” He called himself ”Motormuzzle” in "All about you" thread. His WW game where the Merry Anguirel got the golden dagger. The ”ad” in his sig. Hard! 5 Eomer of the Rohirrim ”Good friend of one unlucky Elf. Once visited the town without too many worries or cares.” Glorfindel-duck in myspace. "Without too many worries or cares" is the first line of his own WW game. 6 Thinlómien ”And they say that you have to be pray before you can be the hunter... This person will most certainly be missing. Oh, and there’s the Orc!” Just recently been wolf. Missing because of no Internet at home. Narfforc came next after her (Hard. I gave a hint here). And I thought It'd be easy to think of something with such members like Nogrod and Lommy... Just how wrong I was... ![]() 7 Brinniel ”Though there is no light, a great chart this person drew before the downfall came.” Her PT and her Downer Map thread, also her homepage (get there through her livejournal account) with a poem called "Downfall". 8 Legate of Amon Lanc ”Twice lost, but well alive. One of the members of the Fellowship, though not the one with the cross.” Has a thread with the word ”lost” twice. Has a web page ”The Fellowship of Middle-Earth”. His avatar was mistaken to have a cross in it. 9 Aganzir ”When this one came at last, the next to come, would be one real stir, a stir that wouldn’t stay.” Gah. Get yourself a history! Well, that’s with the member numbers again. Aganzir came just before OrcLeaderalpha.10 Meneltarmacil ”The archer great, a knight of old from the land of old. To the heart of fun half the arrows fly.” Most of his threads marked with arrows and half of such threads are in M-e mirth. ”Ye Olde Knight” (a knight of old) in from the first WW he modded. 11 Xyzzy ”Can all the answers be in this one person. I bet this person had the greatest party, a day before another millennium came by and the winner fainted. And not because of the stinks.” Member 6142 (Sorry... Reading Adams...). Had his birthday a day before Menel got 1000 posts (I know, I know... But this was hard.) His schedule "stinks", like he said in some post. 12 The Sixth Wizard ”After a sigh from above the sword began to speak.” His thread where he ”sighs” in the first post, and then Anguirel posts the next post. 13 Roa_Aoife ”I fear this person and so should All, after the smile you now see is gone. For this one the cursed day will wait, but when it comes, it truly will be cursed, and rude.” ”I fear” comes from her name, then comes the freaky ”O_o” smiley, then ”A” ("Roa_Aoife" -> "I fear A O_o" ) Her birthday is the 13th of September, next year it should have been a Friday but isn’t so the next time 13th of September is a Friday is year 2013 that has the ”cursed” 13 in it... One of her threads has "rude" text in it.14 Macalaure ”Beware of this one’s gifts (and the light), it might be that there’s a different face under the mask. The person’s list of names is long.” Huh, hard one... again. Refers to his Annatar lj avatar, the talk about his picture that he doesn’t look like a computer nerd and to the ”Elementary Downers” picture he made. One ”light” thread marker. 15 Diamond18 ”If that’s the truth, then this one you should trust (just this one time). Somewhat not onesided.” Her biography with the vampireslaying. She has a different version of current avatar in lj. 16 Shastanis Althreduin ”As soon as some nameless thing passed, this person came to be. For the tenth year cursed.” He’s member 6220, member 6219 is ”Nameless Thing”. Birthday 13th February, next time that will be a Friday 2010. 17 Celuien ”Bravely this hidden eye told our truth, and now our truth remains.” Davem’s back by writing this. ”Hidden eye” -> her lj link is ”hidden” and behind it is her old avatar with the blinking eye. 18 Kitanna ”I’d chose the cake and add a candle to have it even, so I really hope this member would agree.” Her lj avatar ”cake or death?” and the fact that she’s having her 20th birthday during the game. 19 Sleepy Ranger ”It wasn’t much but late this one did come and in this land something else this person might well be.” Simply refers to his date of birth, which is one day later than mine, and to his name which has the misguiding word ”ranger” in it. 20 Durelin ”This person will not have to endure much longer, as the light shall make its wake in not so many days, the wind will follow and then will death.” ”Endure” refers to her name and ”light” and ”wake” to her homepage ”Hornwake” where Summer represents Light, Autumn Wind and Winter Death. 21 Glirdan ”This person’s greatest reign has ended, but it was because of this person that you all are where you now are.” Refering to his TiGJunior thread that was closed and to the game he modded that was my first. 22 The Saucepan Man "A death knell to the heart causes a spider-like situation." Probably the only person in this game with ”sticky threads”. Death knell to the heart refers to the book, where Sam says so. 23 Rikae ”The lonely Orc.” Her only thread with no answers. The numbers in front of name are for shuffling you into your roles and into the narrations. I used this as the randomizer. Ok, what next? Narration! \o/ |

Wow
What a shame the game didn't last that long to use them all. Or at least, more of them. The more I look at what you have had prepared in the game, the more I see how brilliantly was the game constructed. From the story through the rules to the hidden roles and these riddles - it's obvious all of it couldn't even have been used in the game. As a long-time gamemaster and planner I know what it is to work up something this big, yet knowing there'll still be just one tenth of it explored by the players in the end... but even though you know it, it by no way disencourages your work on it... Wonderful!

What ever happened to too much action making bad movies...hmmm? Volo...dear God...no human being could solve those riddles! You scare me! I must say, your narrations were astounding. You put so much into this game...too bad most of it went over some of our heads (read: my head)... |
