I don't think it lightens up the last-minute mess as it brings more people involved - but that's just good. The more people are able to stay until the deadline the more voices there are on the decisive moments and the more there is to investigate the day after.

But I must also agree with Macalaure, that this will reduce the possibility of me posting in the beginning of the Day. It's not downright impossible to be sure. But that's nothing compared to the benefit of getting more people around on the ends of the Days.

So a good idea, I think.
