Have him turn up. An idea would be maybe for Tom and Alli to be left alone together in the tomb while maybe everybody else joins the Smilog incident with the Wizards?

Nobody has reason to think it might be a bad idea to leave the two alone and it would up the tension of the situation...

Or if you have a different idea?
