Can't say I'd blame him either, he must be driven even more demented by fans than JRR ever was. In his case both ways, i.e. fans of JRR with grudges against him, as well as regular fans.

Pity - I for one would like to let him know that I admire and respect what he's done, and also that I think he did a damn fine job with The Ruin of Doriath, but that's a topic for another time.
