Roles: Four (4) Lover teams: Werewolf / Werewolf's Lover Werebear / Werebear's Lover Werecat / Werecat's Lover Werebird / Werebird's Lover <-- Lovebirds, tee hee One (1) Ranger One (1) Watcher At least ten (10) Ordinary Villagers The Lovers are composed of one werecreature and one lover. They are allowed to PM each other at Night and get one (1) kill per night. Each team operates independently of the others and does not know the identities of the other Lovers. It is possible for one team to kill a member of another team. When one member of a team dies, the other dies as well, in traditional Lover fashion. The ordo lovers comes up as innocent to the Watcher. The Watcher is a combination of a Ranger and a Seer. Each night the Watcher is granted one (1) dream and one (1) protection. The Watcher may dream first. The Watcher may not protect the same person two nights in a row, but they may protect the same person on non-consecutive nights. The Watcher does not know the identity of the Ranger and may not PM the Ranger at any time. The Ranger may not dream, but is allowed one (1) protection each night. The Ranger may not protect the same person two nights in a row, but they may protect the same person on non-consecutive nights. The Ranger does not know the identity of the Watcher and may not PM the Watcher at any time. The Goal for each Lover team is to be the last team standing. The last team standing beats the other teams even if they are defeated by the Innocent Villagers in the end. But if they can manage to be the last two players alive, they win the overall game as well. They win if they can reduce the number of innocent Villagers to two (2). In this case, and this case only, the Ordo Lover counts as a werecreature. The Villagers' goal is to kill every last Werecreature/Lover. Ideally, I would like a minimum of 20 players for this game. There will be 8 werecreature/lovers and 2 innocent gifteds, and with less than 20 players that would leave less than half the village as ordos. The game will start as soon as I can get 20 players, though I would welcome more if that were at all possible. If I am not able to get enough players, I have two options: Relinquish the next game to someone else with smaller plans, or myself run a smaller game. I have a character called the Basilisk in mind for a non-Lovers game (the Basilisk is a character which, if dreamt of at night, results in the Seer's immediate death). So I wouldn't be opposed to running that smaller game. You can sign up here, or ask questions about the roles/gameplay for this game, etc. I would hope to start in a week or so, though if getting enough players requires a slightly longer wait, it's all the same to me, as long as others don't mind.

I love it that you actually took the reins to your hands and decided to mod the next game. Sounds interesting, yet chaotic. Count me in.

A question for you, Di: Will you be having homosexual lovers? Or will you reduce participants so that half are female and half are male? Or will you just say it doesn't matter if the start is unequal?

Yay! Players! As of right now it's my plan to have male/female parings... from the discussion before Cailín's game it seems that the majority would rather not having same sex lovers. And I need all the players I can get. I don't think it'll matter if I don't get an exactly even half/half ratio... however if there's a heavy shift one way or the other, same sex pairs may be required out of sheer necessity. Oh, and the deadline will be 9 PM or 7 AM, depending on my what my schedule is by the time the game starts. Edit: that's my time. The timestamp on this post is 6:15 AM. Another edit... Quote:

I can't play because of timing; I'm not free for this kind of shenanigan till the 28th. But I am thoroughly irritated to miss this and I wish you, Audrey, the best of luck...

I wasn't too sure about this, but since Halloween is coming up soon, I just have to go for another round of Werewolf. I'm signing up, and my role will be Mad Scientist.

At least none of the baddies will be wanting to work together. Still, I think morm definitely has a point. I was thinking that perhaps you should allow the Ranger and Watcher to know each other's indentities, though? Perhaps? Never seems to help all that much, anyway. Either way, though, I'm still up for it. |

wait...there are four kills a night, right? And two protections... And all the kills are blind...if any of those kills grab a lover, that's one team out altogether. Depending on how it went the first night could be a bloodbath that leaves the villagers to win.I don't think it looks that unbalanced. The watcher seems a great way to balance things out.

Ang, if the game weren't to start till the 28th, would you be in? I hope to start before then, and so far sign up's been good, but on the off chance that it takes that long, I'm putting you down as a maybe. For now. Because what's a Lovers game without bursts of Byronic poetry? Lommy - Mac - Kath - Kitanna - żAng? - Jenny - Nogrod - żValier? - Menel - Mad Scientist Holby - Durelin - arcticstorm - żmorm? - A note about roles, I'm thinking of having the setting be a secret Elven enclave in Far Harad. Yeah, canon it is not. So, that may effect your role-choosing. Quote:

Put my occupatin down as the ostrich-chaser. If the watcher and the ranger are allowed to co-operate they form yet one other "pair" that will protect each other, and thus might be mixed up to be a lover pair. It will cause a chaos, in good and bad...

Diamond, if you are ok with the fact that I may not get a high QUANTITY of posts (but I guarantee the best QUALITY, in my own way which may be a little particular... see my battle with Aiwendil on some WW game long ago. ) I'm in. If you are looking for quantity of posts, I'll wait for another opportunity. But I really want in.

Remind me never to say "maybe," because people do not recognise it, and in the end I myself cease to recognise it. Sigh, fine. I'm in. Does this mean I have to read the rules for this game? Woik woik woik. EDIT: So as not to double-post...I'll add that I prefer the 7 AM time, and would like to be the African trypanosomiasis victim aka girl with sleeping sickness aka sleeping *ehem* beauty (if you will). Eep Di could I make a further request and say don't start til Tuesday? Or if you do start before don't lynch me for not being there! As to times I think 7am is a little better than the other so I'll go for that one, and as for roles I would like to be a flower girl. I'm liking flowers today. Oh, Lhuna, we saw the maybe, we just ignored it.

I would vastly prefer 9 PM. But 7 AM would work, I suppose. I would only have half an hour to read posts and vote, if I wanted to be anywhere near the deadline, but that's workable. Can we have one retraction, Di?

African trypanosomiasis sounds very unpleasant. I'll put you down as the beautiful girl with the sleeping sickness. Noggie, uh, I have no idea what your role means. Google doesn't either. Not that I mind, of course, except that I do because now it's driving me crazy. Tuesday's fine. I'll consider one retraction, though I do think that kind of slides the power vote towards those who are able to be around at the actual deadline. I'll think about it.

Warning for my fellow players Tuesdays as a whole will be usually a bad day for posting for me. I have a very VERY busy day every tuesday. This specific Tuesday is the day before my Biochem midterm. I SHOULD be able to get a couple posts in... and it's day 1 anyway, I don't usually post a lot on day 1's... just thought I'd let you bunch know. And about the deadlines.... 7 AM would NOT work for me at all.. it'd mean that on weekdays I'd be casting my vote seven or eight hours before the deadline. Having said that, if most of the other players would rather have that deadline I'll take my chances and perhaps try to wake up earlyer than usual a couple times. (let's face it... WW is THAT addictive)
