sorry if previous writer of music topic is offended, but i wanted to reply, but couldnt.... so i am working in the tolkien.
elves loved um.... elfy music- think "Lament for Gandalf" from movie (?) they liked sad songs, and sad music, and sometimes happy i spose.... sorry, but im not a great describer... nor do i know if this is all right.... hobbits like happy tunes, fiddles, pipes, and folk music. men.... god knows, but im thinking U2's Elevation from Tomb Raider for some reason. and dwarves? well, im gonna go with those bands that just play drum kits that are made form trash can lids and cardboard boxes... wizards.... pipes? little pipey songs? and little folky songs... ents? um.... whistley music.... tin whistle i only say whistley cos the wind whistles through their leaves and the word has stuck orcs.... drums. period. deep, bashy drums. saruman and sauron often get together and practise on their drum kit (saruman) and bass guitar (sauron) sorry if i missed anyone or anything.... just.... which type of music do u prefer, and does it apply to ure chosen lotr race? feel free to disagree with my interpretations

www.mp3.com has tons of music inspired by Lord of the Rings. I did a search once there and got a bunch of stuff. It wasn't all good, of course, but some of it was very good. You should do a search if you get a free moment.
