When deciding how Celuien's name is supposed to be pronounced is the intellectual feat of the day...

When you start thinking that "Nogrod" must mean something in Finnish...

At the risk of going off topic, I would venture Kel-oo-i-en. Though a more French Kel-wee-en could be on the table.

I always had it as a 'c' so it's soft, and goes Cell-wee-en.

And that has me joining the addicted ranks

French would be as Kath says ..... soft initial C like Celine.....

But if it is Elvish it has to be the hard .... but I never remember that when I think names.......

Firefoot has been trapped in the Barrow!
I've always said it "Kel-oo-ee-en".

Well, I think I can blame this on Latin and Italian... but I've found myself saying "Chel-oo-ien".

But the Tolkienist says "No, blockhead, you have to use the Elven Hard C." So I alternate with "Kel-oo-ien".

And then there's Joe Bloe's English: "Sel-oo-ien".

Yup. Addicted.

That's how I've always pronounced it. Elvish hard C.

Ah. I am now both addicted and a sign of addiction.
