From LOST tv show:

Sawyer would make a good Boromir

Charlie could be well.. he (Dominic) already got to be someone didn't he? but his character on Lost is closer to Pippin

Hurley = Sam Gamgee, maybe Butterbur
Jack = Aragorn (especially if he's got some athelas)
Kate = Arwen or Eowyn
Sayid = hmm maybe Gimli
