Seriously though, that was one of the more enjoyable questions on this thread. Most of the time someone gets the answer within a few hours.

Now, is that "him" Underhill or Kettle It likely explains Kettle's role in Belin's game, now, doesn't it? Explains the game, too.

Gil this has nothing to do with Avvies it is just a (I hope) fairly straight forward cryptic clue which will let you construct the Downers name.
